Privacy Policy
Effective 2 September 2026 · Applies to the Wanedays iPhone app and this website
Wanedays has no account, no sign in and no server of ours. Everything you log is written to your iPhone and stays there. We never receive it, because there is nowhere for it to go.
1. Who is responsible
Wanedays is an independently developed iPhone app. In this policy, "Wanedays", "we" and "us" mean the developer of the app, reachable at truonggiang20001807@gmail.com. Where the GDPR applies, that is the data controller for the very limited processing described in sections 4 and 7.
2. What Wanedays stores on your device
Wanedays keeps a single database inside the app's own container on your iPhone. The app and its home screen widget read and write it. No other app can reach it, and neither can we. It holds seven kinds of record:
- Your profile. The answers you gave during setup: what you take now, the pouch strength you use, the route you chose, your quit or floor target, the price you pay per tin, and reminder preferences.
- Your plan. The dated schedule Wanedays generated for you.
- Plan steps. One row per day of that plan, carrying the day's ceiling in pouches and milligrams.
- Pouch logs. Each pouch you record, with its strength and the moment you logged it.
- Craving logs. Each craving you time, with its start, its length and whether you rode it out.
- Your own readings. If you choose to track a number, the name you gave it and the values you entered. Wanedays does not interpret this value and has no notion of a good or bad one.
- Confidence readings. Your periodic answer about how the plan is sitting with you.
None of this is transmitted anywhere by the app. It is covered by your device passcode and by iOS app sandboxing in the same way the rest of your phone is.
3. What we receive
Nothing from the list above. We run no server, no database and no logging endpoint that the app talks to. There is no mechanism by which your pouch counts, cravings, readings or plan could reach us, and none by which we could request them.
Wanedays declares "Data Not Collected" on its App Store privacy label, and that declaration matches the code.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Wanedays is a paid subscription with a free trial. Two companies are involved and we are neither of them.
- Apple processes the purchase. We never see your name, your email address or your payment details. Apple gives us anonymous, aggregated sales figures, which cannot be traced back to an individual.
- RevenueCat manages subscription state on our behalf. When the app checks whether your subscription is active, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device, your App Store receipt, and basic technical facts such as the app version, the country of your store and your device model. It never receives anything from section 2. Their policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
This is the only network connection Wanedays makes. If you never open the paywall and never restore a purchase, the app makes none at all.
5. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device, from dates the app computed locally. They are not push notifications and they do not pass through a server. iOS asks your permission before the first one, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings. Declining does not restrict any other part of the app.
6. What Wanedays does not do
Stated plainly, because the absence is the point:
- No analytics or telemetry SDK of any kind.
- No advertising, no ad identifier, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
- No crash reporting service.
- No iCloud sync and no cloud backup of your log by us.
- No sale or sharing of personal information, under any definition, ever.
- No profiling and no automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- No access to HealthKit, contacts, photos, microphone or location.
7. This website
wanedays.app is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no trackers. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving them, in the same way any file request does. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short period for security and operational reasons. We do not read them to identify individuals.
8. Deleting your data
Delete the app and everything in section 2 goes with it. iOS removes the container and its database along with the app. There is no copy on our side to request the deletion of.
Two caveats worth knowing. If you have iPhone backups enabled through iCloud or a computer, your Wanedays database may be inside a backup, governed by Apple's terms rather than ours. And your subscription is separate from your data: cancel it in Settings under your Apple Account, since deleting the app does not end it.
9. Age
Wanedays is about nicotine use and is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.
10. Your rights under GDPR and CCPA
Both frameworks give you rights over personal information a company holds about you. The honest answer here is that we hold almost none, so most of these rights have nothing to attach to.
- Access and portability. Your log is already in your possession, on your device. We hold no copy to send you.
- Deletion. Deleting the app deletes it. For the RevenueCat identifier described in section 4, write to us and we will ask RevenueCat to delete the record tied to your subscription.
- Correction. You can edit or remove any entry inside the app.
- Opting out of sale or sharing. There is nothing to opt out of. We have never sold or shared personal information and have no plans to.
- Objection and restriction. Available on request for the processing in section 4, which is the only processing we carry out. Note that subscription verification cannot function without it.
- Complaint. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
The lawful basis for the processing in section 4 is performance of a contract, namely giving you the subscription you paid for. Exercising any of these rights costs nothing and we will never treat you differently for it.
11. Changes to this policy
If Wanedays ever starts doing something this document does not describe, this document changes first and the effective date at the top changes with it. A change that materially affects what leaves your device will be announced inside the app before it takes effect.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about anything the app does with what you type into it: truonggiang20001807@gmail.com. We answer every message.
Wanedays helps you track and reduce your own use. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist about quitting nicotine. Free coaching is available in any state at any time on 1‑800‑QUIT‑NOW.
