iPhone · nicotine pouches
Come down in milligrams, not guesswork.
Wanedays turns "I should probably cut back" into a dated plan with a number on every day of it. You log the pouches you actually take. The plan adjusts around what you did.
Free trial of 21 days. Wanedays tracks and supports your own reduction. It does not diagnose or treat anything.
The unit that matters
A pouch count can go up while your dose comes down.
Every taper app counts pouches. Pouches are the wrong number, because a pouch is a container and the nicotine inside it varies from 2 mg to 12 mg depending on which tin you opened. Cutting from six pouches to five means nothing on its own.
Wanedays plans on total milligrams per day, which is count multiplied by strength. That total is the quantity the plan guarantees never rises. When the plan moves you to a weaker pouch, your count often goes up on that day, and the dose still falls.
| Day | Pouches | Strength | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 6 | 6 mg | 36 mg |
| 12 | 4 | 6 mg | 24 mg |
| 13 | 5 ↑ | 4 mg | 20 mg |
| 26 | 3 | 4 mg | 12 mg |
Three routes
Reaching zero is one option out of three.
You pick the ending when you set up the plan, and you can change it later from settings without losing what you have logged.
Taper
A gradual descent across weeks, with the strength stepping down as the count comes off. Ends at zero on a dated day.
Abrupt
A short run up to a quit date you choose, then zero. For people who already know that halfway is harder for them than stopping.
Reduce to a floor
Descend to a daily amount you pick and hold there. The plan ends at that floor. Wanedays never calls the floor a quit date.
What you log
Four things, all of them one tap.
Pouches
From the app or from the home screen widget, without opening anything. Each one carries its strength, so the day's total is real.
Cravings
A timer you start when one hits, so you find out how long yours actually last and which hours they cluster in.
Your own number
Name any measure you already track, such as resting heart rate or hours of sleep. Wanedays plots it beside your dose and never interprets it.
Confidence
A quick check on how the plan is sitting with you. If it feels fast, the app offers to slow the plan down a notch. The choice stays yours.
Privacy
Your log never leaves your iPhone.
Wanedays has no account, no sign in and no server. Every pouch, craving and reading you enter is written to a database inside the app's own container on your device, where the app and its widget can read it and nothing else can. We operate no backend that could receive it.
There is no analytics SDK in the app, no advertising identifier and no tracking of any kind. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. The only network call Wanedays makes is to RevenueCat, which handles the subscription and receives an anonymous identifier along with your Apple receipt. Your health log is never part of that.
Evidence and its limits
What we can honestly say, and what nobody can.
The Cochrane review of oral nicotine pouches (Hartmann‑Boyce et al., 2025, CD016220) found four studies covering 284 participants, and none of them studied how to stop using pouches. So there is no research base for telling you that a falling dose will move any measurement in your body, and Wanedays does not tell you that. It plots your numbers beside the plan and leaves the two apart, in words and in pictures.
The separate Cochrane review of reduction (2019) compares reduction that leads to quitting against stopping outright, and finds neither better than the other. It says nothing about reduction as a destination in itself, in either direction. That is why the reduce route in Wanedays is offered without a ranking against the routes that reach zero.
Wanedays helps you track and reduce your own use. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist about quitting nicotine. Free coaching is available in any state at any time on 1‑800‑QUIT‑NOW.
You will not find a cigarette equivalence, an hours of your life figure or a health score anywhere in Wanedays. Each of those rests on a constant nobody can produce for pouches.
Start with the number you are on today.
Setup asks what you take now and what you want the ending to be. The plan is dated from there.
